Homemade Juicy Hamburger Patties Recipe

Ingredients
(Makes 4 8oz Burgers)
Time: Under 30 Minutes

  • 2 lbs ground sirloin (or 85% lean ground beef chuck)


  • 1/2 cup tomato juice


  • 1 egg


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  • 4 burger buns, split and toasted


  • Grilling Instructions for the
    Perfect Hamburger Recipe

    1. Preheat the grill as follows:

    Gas:
    Direct heat, medium-high
    (425 - 450 degrees F)

    Charcoal:
    Direct heat, light ash, grate should be on lowest setting

    Wood:
    Direct heat, light ash, 3 - 4 inches deep, grate should be 2 inches above the fire

    2. Meanwhile in a bowl, use your hands to mix together all of the ingredients except the buns. With a light touch, form into 4 patties no more than 1 inch thick.

    3. Lightly cut criss-cross marks into one side of your hamburger patties. Refrigerate them until the grill is ready.

    4. Clean and lightly oil grill grate. Grill hamburger patties, covered, 8 minutes total, flipping once halfway through.

    Remove your burgers from the grill once they are at your desired level of doneness.

    Allow them to rest a few minutes before serving to let the juices settle.

    5. Serve on toasted buns with desired toppings, and enjoy your perfectly grilled, tasty homemade hamburger!


    Steakhouse Hamburger Patty Recipe

    Same grilling instructions except use the following ingredients for 6 tasty steakhouse homemade hamburger meat patties:

  • 2 lbs ground sirloin (or 85% lean ground beef chuck)


  • 1/3 cup bottled A-1 sauce (or your favorite steak sauce)


  • 2 teaspoons spicy mustard


  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


  • 4 green onions, chopped into 1/2 inch thick pieces


  • 6 burger buns, split and toasted




  • Stuffed Hamburger Patties Recipe

    Ingredients
    (Makes 6 8oz Burgers)
    Time: Under 30 Minutes

  • 2 lbs 85% lean ground beef chuck


  • 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish (usually comes in a jar)(or use spicy mustard)


  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


  • 1/2 apple, cored, peeled, and shredded


  • 4 tablespoons apple cider (apple juice works too)


  • 6 burger buns, split and toasted


  • Directions for Stuffed Hamburger Meat Recipe

    1. Preheat the grill as follows:

  • 2 lbs 85% lean ground beef chuck


  • 6 burger buns, split and toasted
